Tips for 3/4/13

Stir Trader is today NAP

7:30 Kempton - Stir Trader 12/1 e/w (will hill) (nap)

Stir Trader has not been outside the top 3 in all his races, apart from one in which he was badly hampered and his chances were gone. He has only race twice over distance one was the race he was hampered and then he won the other. At Kempton his stats are 2, 3.

His last race was 8f here and was beaten by 5L but that race had some very promising individuals The winner Loyalty and 2nd Guest Of Honour, has since gone on to race in higher class races and the 6th and 7th placed horse (one was Trois Valles) have recorded 2 wins and a 2nd.

This is a career high mark but the drop in distance might benefit him, and i do not think there are as good comptetition as last time, so could take all the beating.


7:50 Dundalk - Banna Boirche 10/3 (paddy power)

Loves it here and in fact all 8 wins have been at Dundalk. Stats over C&D are 1, 2, 4, 1, 1, 1. last win was 5lb less in the handicap, but has won at this rating and has carried 10st 3lb to victory. So this is not beyond him. Has being running in Dubai recently, and his last race was beaten a neck. SO coming back here is good form, he will relish a return to his favourite track


3:40 Wetherby - Dormouse 8/1 e/w (ladbrokes)

Not ran very well in his last 2 races, but is now back down to a fair handicap mark. And i know he hasn't won on Good - Soft before, but that was over further, i think this better ground might help. His last race he came 10th, but the 3rd and 4th in that race have both come 2nd a in higher class. 5th, 6th and 7th have both gone onto win.

But the most interesting thing for me is the booking of AP McCoy, who is not his regular rider. He has ridden him 6 times only. And these are their results 1, 2*, 4,1, 1, 2 (* higher class). Dormouse has only won 6 times in his career and AP has ridden him in 3 of those. Maybe connections think he will go well.
